Assess your cardiovascular fitness using heart rate recovery after exercise.
How to Perform This Test
Do moderate-to-hard exercise until your heart rate is elevated (e.g., jog, jumping jacks, or use a cardio machine for 2-3 minutes)
Immediately check and note your heart rate (this is your "Exercise Heart Rate")
Stop and rest completely - sit or stand still
After exactly 1 minute, check your heart rate again (this is your "Recovery Heart Rate")
